Lineage

Alberto Presincula , 8th Dan Kyoshi, was born in the Philippines on October 29, 1950 with both Filipino parents. He started learning martial arts by the age of 7. At the same time his uncle who then worked in Hino motors in Japan and trained in kyokushin, influenced him to learn more about martial arts

• 1958, Alberto Presincula started training in Shorin-ryu to Latino Gonzales 9th dan (the Father of Philippine Karate)
• 1965, Katsuya Miyahira, 10th dan, the Grand master founder of shido-kan sent Sekichi Iha sensei to the Philippines. He had taught him for 11 months in Commando karate club.
• 1966, Alberto Presincula started teaching karate in Elementary level in Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in Tondo Manila for more than 2 years.
• 1967, Latino Gonzales awarded him his 1st dan rank of Okinawa shorin –ryu karatedo.
• 1968, he started teaching various students in different school levels the art of karate.
• 1969, he received his 2nd Dan rank awarded to him by Latino Gonzales 9th dan .
• 1970, he went to the Philippine naval base in Subic Bay and started teaching karate to the Marine, Navy and Air Force command of the United States. One of his most notable students was Glenn Kearney. student in naval base

• 1971, Alberto Presincula went back to Commando Karate Club in Sta. Mesa Manila to meet with Latino Gonzales sensei for his 3rd Dan rank examination and also to grade his student Glenn Kearney from the US Navy. On the same year he passed the exam and was given his 3rd Dan rank by Latino Gonzales himself.
• 1972, He extended his branch in San Miguel Naval Base and San Antonio, Zambales. Notable students are Cris Bato and Jessie Jose (CPO USS enterprise).his student at Naval base• 1972, Alberto Presincula joined in Philippine Navy Karate team special service. On the same year, he also competed in National Karate Tournament which was held in Loyola, Quezon City.
• 1974, Latino Gonzales sensei opened another branch of Commando Karate Club in front of Municipal Hall of Olongapo City. Alberto Presincula was one of the instructors.
• 1974, He received his 4th Dan rank awarded to him by Latino Gonzales 9th dan
• 1976, He opened his very own Dojo and named it “United Karatedo Association” located in Magsaysay Drive, Olongapo City.Dojo in Magsaysay drive • 1978 He invited Pop Santos to grade his Filipino and American students in behalf of Master Latino Gonzales sensei. In the same year he went to see Latino Gonzales Sensei to take his 5th Dan rank in Commando Karate Club in Sta Mesa Manila.
• 1980, Australian Embassy granted his tourist Visa for Australia, before he left he went to see Latino Gonzales sensei to ask if he can get a Dan ranking for his 6th Dan. Latino Gonzales sensei awarded his 6th Dan.
• 1980, By April, Alberto Presincula sensei started residing in Australia. He began teaching karate in a friend’s garage, located in Saint Albans.

• 1981, Huss Solhan, Matt Hocking and Felix Johansson the first students of Alberto Presincula sensei became a member of his karate school in Saint Albans Elementary School.

• 1985, he opened his own Dojo in Albion Sunshine, Australia and named it “United Karatedo Association International”.

1999 2• 1997,Alberto Presincula 6th Dan went to Okinawa. Katsuya Miyahira 10th Dan grandmaster, the founder of shido-kan recognized his practice under Latino Gonzales 9th . He started his training and life (uche desi) with Katsuya Miyahira 10th Dan Grandmaster and the other master of shorin ryu karate do kyokai, koichi Nakasone kobudo suidi and full contact karate master, Kenjo Takeshi of kobukai, and he trained with Seiyu Nakamura sensei, Tsumori sensei,Morinobu sensei,Takara Nakamura sensei, Kevork dick sensei, Miyagi sensei, Shiroma sensei (iha sensei cousin) Shimabukuro sensei,Itukazu sensei ,Soeyi Miyazato sensei, Nakayama sensei,Ogata sensei,Akamine sensei and all the other seniors.

11204432_951902958195215_8645327329529960914_n •1999, Katsuya Miyahira 10th Dan grandmaster of Shido-kan invited him to attend the 1st Okinawa traditional karatedo kobudo world tournament to take part as a referee and judge to the event. In the same year he continued training at the shido-kan headquarters to Katsuya Miyahira 10th Dan grandmaster and received his 7th Dan rank and was appointed as the official representative of shido-kan in Australia.

• 2000, Seikichi Iha hanshi 10th Dan recognized his practice and he became a member of North America Beikuko shido-kan association in Lansing Michigan. in the same year Kyoshi Alberto Presincula and sensei Dusko Trifunovic went to Okinawaw Japan to Continue training in Hombu dojo Full contact Suidi with Nakasone sensei.

11951900_1019282234790620_8289255436455602769_n (1)•2001, Australian shido-kan team went to Lansing Michigan to attend the seminar in Beikuko Shido-kan with his senior black belt with Dusko trifunovic and with his senior black belt  Glen Kearney US marine in naval base Olongapo. On the same year Kyoshi Alberto Presincula together with his son David Presincula and other students Robbie, Brandt and Felix Johansson demonstrated knife defense and Kyoshi Alberto demonstrated Gojushiho in the opening Shido-kan hombu in Fukuoka japan headed by Nakayama sensei.  Kyoshi Alberto Presincula invited Nakasone sensei, Nakayama sensei and Takafumi Nakayama to conduct a seminar to his hombu.

• 2002, he became a member of Australia Karate federation (AKF) and received his 6th dan rank in W.K.F. In the same year he attended a seminar which took place in North America Beikuko at Lansing Michigan. He stayed there for 6 weeks. In the same year he went to Ontario Canada to attend the seminar of Seikichi Iha student Roy Paul 6th Dan rank,

• 2003, Alberto Presincula went to Okinawa and trained there for 4 weeks together with Katsuya Miyahira 10th Dan. In February of that year, he was invited by Seikichi Iha sensei and Koichi Nakasone to conduct a seminar to his hombu in Melbourne Victoria Australia.In the same year the Australian team attended the World karate tournament (WKO) in Wild world Disneyland in Miami Florida USA.

•2004, the North America beikuko shido-kan association by Seikichi Iha 10th Dan appointed him as the chief of branch for their office in Australia. In the same year he also headed the delegation of the Australian team at the World Kobudo tournament, which was held in Okinawa; where he was assigned as a referee & judge to the event and was also one of the officiating officers for the event.

• 2005, he went back to Okinawa to train in shido-kan headquarters together with his black belt student sensei Felix Johansson . In the same year the Australian shido-kan team went to Lansing Michigan to attend the seminar in Beikuko Shido-kan, he became a certified member of Ryukyu kingdom suidi original weapon association by Seikichi Iha 10th Dan sensei and Nakasone 8th Dan sensei. They also appointed Alberto Presincula as the head master of the Australian    headquarters.

• 2007, he invited Nakasone 8th Dan kyoshi and Takafumi Nakayama to conduct a seminar at his hombu dojo in Melbourne Victoria.

• 2008, Alberto Presincula 7th Dan received his 8dan rank awarded to him by Seikichi Iha 10th Dan Grandmaster in North America Beikuko Shido-kan at Lansing Michigan. Month of May he finally returned to the Philippines with the other masters from Okinawa to conduct seminars in different parts of the Philippines.

• 2009, he came back again to the Philippines to conduct another seminar, this time with Takafumi Nakayama in order of Seikichi Iha sensei to teach Ryukyu suidi kobujutsu. Alberto Presincula also met Sherlock Malapitan and after several training sessions, he personally awarded him his 6th Dan rank. On the same year Kyoshi Alberto Presincula assigned as a referee & judge to the event and was also one of the officiating officers for the Okinawa traditional karatedo world tournament 2009.

• 2010, The following year Kyoshi Abet came back to the Philippines to conduct another seminar with Takafumi Nakayama and his son David Presincula.

nts 2011 • 2011, July, Kyoshi Alberto Presincula and his son David Presincula and Ergin Halil went to Lansing, Michigan in Beikuko hombu dojo to attend the seminar of the two grand master Miyazato sensei and iha sensei. On July 16th of the same year, he attended The Celebration of North American Shido-kan Karatedo in Lansing Michigan, on dec 18 Alberto Presincula and his Australia students attended to the tournament of the Various group in the Philippines, and to conduct seminar in different places of Luzon.

• 2012, month of May Kyoshi Alberto Presincula invited Nakasone sensei and Takafumi Nakayama to Conduct seminar in Melbourne Australia, after the seminar Kyoshi Alberto invited them to go in the Philippines to conduct seminar KARATEDO and KOBUDO the said seminar was located in Upper Bicutan, covered court dated May 26-27 2012, with the help of various groups in the Philippines who wanted to represent Beikuko. They registered the organization with SEC, although the plan to have Beikuko in the Philippines still is pending approval from Seikichi Iha sensei, with the help of various groups in the Philippines who wanted to represent Beikuko.

• In 2012,Kyoshi Alberto Presincula with heavy heart, decided to resign from Beikuko. In the same year, after resigning Beikuko Kyoshi, Alberto Presincula again opened “Australia Shido-kan Hombu” and stayed there until 2013 to propagate his Australian Shido-kan Hombu.

• 2014, due to his dream that Karate will be accessible to all Filipino’s and his love for his native country and family in the Philippines kyoshi Alberto Presincula decided to return to the Philippines and did some seminars in Camana, Bicol and P.U.P . But he felt that conducting seminars is not enough to reach a wide group of Filipino karateka’s especially the under privileged one’s.

• 2015, Kyoshi Alberto Presincula did more seminars in Manila and in several provinces with the help of some Friends and fellow karateka’s, who still believe in him. He did a free seminar as a tribute to Miyahira sensei with his students from Australia shido-kan hombu. The first seminar was held in parts of Makati, Lucena, Dipolog and Marawi. The opportunity to become a Delegate of W.U.K.O & AD for the Philippines came up and kyoshi Alberto Presincula did not hesitate to take the opportunity to represent the Philippines.
